trying to get my shit together.

Hey guys,

so I thought I’d let you know what I’ve been trying for years and now seriously want to pursue… Get serious about working out and eating healthy.

I hope that writing this down and sharing my progress with you might actually help me do this for real now. I still have to figure out how often I can go to the gym now that university starts on Monday and I have a lot to learn about meal prepping. At the moment I will have Wednesdays and Fridays off, but I seriously have to find a part-time job. Being used to earning money and now being completely cut off, will definitely be hard. I do have a few savings in  my account, but turns out I’ve been spending more money than ever this past month. This will be a really hard time.

So, back to me trying to work out more and eating more healthy. I have a gym membership for about three years now and there were times where I went regularly and times were I didn’t go for months. I recently got back into going at least two to three times a week with a friend of mine. We’re usually just hitting up some of the courses that my gym offers and feel really good afterwards.
Thanks to YouTube though I’ve been following a lot of Fitness channels and been loving them ever since. Didn’t really change anything about my motivation in actually working out though. Yesterday I was at the FIBO in Cologne though and I actually got the chance to meet two of my favorite YouTubers (Nikki Blackketter and Rob Lipsett) – super nice guys by the way – and just being there and the vibe that was going on, made me want to be serious about this now. I can’t always just say I’ll do it, I have to start and once I’ll see the results I know it was worth it.

Of course another big part in working out and getting my body into the shape I want it to be, is eating healthy. I’ve been vegan for almost two years now and I have to admit I haven’t really been the healthiest one. I like to eat, I like food and I looooove sweets. In my opinion eating healthy doesn’t mean you’ll have to cut out special foods and all that – it’ll just makes you crave the more if you do – you just have to find the right balance. I thing that starting Uni on Monday will actually help me to get into being more healthy easier, because I am forced to meal prep as I have no clue if they have any appealing vegan options there.

So in the following months I’ll try to keep you updated about my progress with meal prep posts and maybe a few fitness posts, even though I’m not sure how to actually write and structure on (any tipps?). I also put it on my bucket list to get more into blogging now that I will have more time to dedicate to this blog. Hope you guys are excited and will follow my blog to not only see if there will be a transformation in my body, but also how things at university will go.

It’s Monday!!!
Even though I had to get back to work today I’m excited, because I want to share the following four songs with you. They’ve been playing on repeat for weeks now and I’m just in love with them.

Even though I’m not heart broken at the moment, I’m soooo in love with this song. Just listen to it and you’ll know what I mean. ❤️

I don’t really know what to say about this one, just that I’m obsessed with it. ” Oh my man he got them real strong hands and after working all day out in that hot sunshine he comes walking in always lookin’ so fine” 🎶

I heard this song first when my brother was listening to it one morning and I instantly fell in love. It’s just a song for a good mood and I love playing it as loud as I can and singing along at the top of my lunges.

He’s German singer and a YouTuber I really love was part of the video to the song and used it for one of her videos, that’s when I fell in love with the song. Make sure to support him and check out his Facebook page.

What has been going on in my life lately.

Hey guys,

this post will only be an update post, as I have had a cold almost all week and even though I’m finally getting better, I hadn’t had much time to create something else to post about.

As I already mentioned I am currently doing an apprenticeship and I actually had another important test on Tuesday. It went better than I thought it would, but there were some really tricky and hard questions asked, which I’m not sure I answered correctly. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see until the results come out next month.

Other than that I had the rest of the week off, but as I’ve been sick I’ve pretty much been in bed all day, except for the last few days as I’ve been feeling better and got to enjoy the sun. So glad it’s finally getting warmer again!

Also I’ve been reading a lot of blogs to get inspired and find topics I can post about. I tried to get as far back as I could on those blogs, to see how other bloggers started and which posts got a lot of feedback and comments, so I know what other people actually enjoy reading about. The thing I will be struggling with though, I think will be like fashion posts and all of that, as I don’t have that much variety when it comes to clothes and I don’t have a professional camera. I hope to get one sometime this year, but they are freaking expensive. What I also noticed it that many bloggers, also do make YouTube videos. I am also trying to get into all of that as I think it’s kind of interesting and you know what they say -a picture is worth more than a thousand words. I actually already uploaded a video on my YouTube Channel so make sure to check that one out!

I’m also trying to get back into my schedule of going to the gym at least 3 times a week, now that I am starting to work again on Monday. I hope I will fall back into a routine, because I really enjoy going to the gym.

Back again.

I’m back. Or at least I want to try and post more frequently again.

As I haven’t been posting in months I thought I’d just make this a quick update post and tell you about all the stuff I’ve been doing lately and all of that.

So what’s happening in my life right now.. I actually don’t know if I mentioned it before or not, but I am currently doing an apprenticeship which includes office management as well as foreign language correspondence. It started in August 2014 and is coming to an end this summer. My first exam is in two weeks, which is kind of exciting and nerve-recking at the same time. I’m glad to be finished soon, but have no clue what will come next, if I’ll stay with the company I’m currently  working at, go to another company or start going to university. Guess I’ll have to wait and see if there are any interesting job offers or not..

I am also still going strong on eating vegan. Can’t believe it’s almost been a year since I started all of this. In order to see if I suffer from anything because I am now living on a plant based diet, I got my blood checked and mostly everything was fine except for the fact that I was lacking vitamin D, but yea it’s winter so not that much of a chance for the sun to come out. So I am currently taking some tablets to get that sorted out, but with spring coming soon I am pretty sure that I won’t be needing to take them that much longer.

Other stuff I’ve been into lately.. I recently started reading the After series by Anna Todd, which I’m not quite sure if I like it or not. I mean I do like the story and want / need to know what happens next, which is why I already ordered book no. 3, but all this back and forth is kind of tiring. I’ll still read all of the books anyways, cause like I said before I need to know what happens next.

Also I finished watching supernatural on netflix and am desperately waiting for season 10 to come out. So in love with Sam and Dean. On YouTube I am still watching all of the channels I mentioned before but I also got obsessed with Mango Island Mamma, love watching her videos and her two boys are the cutest!

Things I Like

Hey guys,

I didn’t really know what to write about on my next post and still wanted to upload something today, so I decided to just tell you a little mit more about myself and the things I like. Hope that’s okay with you. I’ll just do different categories and start rambling a little.

Books

You could say I’m a little bookworm. I’ve always loved reading and just think it’s a lovely way to relax and get away from the daily stress surrounding us. At the moment I am kind of into reading series the “50 Shades of Grey”-type, even though I have to admit this series comes at the end of the list of books I like, sorry. I recently read the Hacker Series by Meredith Wild and The Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day, both of which the 5th book of the series is coming out this month!!! Can’t contain my excitement!!!

I also like to read a little Nicholas Sparks here and there. My favorite books of his definitely are The Rescue and The Longest Ride. Make sure to check them out if that’s what you like to read!

YouTube

Next to books YouTube is a thing of mine I can’t get enough of. I love “getting to know” other people and get an idea on how they live their lives or just get inspired my their videos and gain motivation. I am following a lot of different YouTube Channels, but here are the ones I check for a new video almost every day:

Zoella (I just loose this girl. One of the reasons I started this blog and wanted to get more into it), The Sacconejolys (this family is simply amazing and the kids are soooo cute!), Nikki Blackketter (an amazing inspiration if you lack motivation of going to the gym regularly. Watching her videos actually makes me more than excited to go to the gym and work out.), Jaclyn Hill (this woman is AMAZING! She is so gorgeous and hilarious. Even though I am noway near being able to do my makeup the way she does, I love watching her videos.) of course I have subscribed to a lot more channels but like I said those are the ones I check regularly.

TV Shows / Series

You could say I’m an addict when it comes to those. Netflix is my life! Even though I like watching a movie every now and then the think I’m really into is tv shows. I’ll just list a few of the ones I am currently watching or watched and hope it won’t get too long: Pretty Little Liars, Supernatural, Suits, White Collar, Criminal Minds, Castle, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill.. I’ve definitely watched more, but can’t think of them right now. Some of them I am still watching at the moment, others I’ve finished and some I just stopped watching at some point, because I didn’t have time to keep up at some point and forgot everything that happened at the next so I’ll have to start watching them from scratch again.

 Other Things I Like 

Can’t think of any more topics right now so I’ll just tell you other things I like to do in my free time, when I’m not doing anything of the things listed above.

I like just hanging out with my friends, go to the movies or out to eat or for a drink and just chat a little. I am dancing at a club in my town for like 17 years now, which is a pretty long time if you ask me. Also I enjoy cooking and baking if I have the time (made these vegan cinnamon buns yesterday: Vegan Cinnamon Buns and some pumpkin soup today)
