today I thought I’d share two of my favorite vegan recipes with you. The first one will be for breakfast and the second one for lunch/dinner. Hope you’ll like them!
- 1/2 a cup of oats – you can use any size of cup you like
- 1 cup of soy milk – or any other dairy free milk
- 1 mashed banana
- dates, chia seeds and walnuts as toppings
I always start with just the oats and the milk heating up and after a while put in half of the mashed banana and lots of cinnamon. Make sure to stir all the time. When you think the oatmeal has the perfect consistency put in the other half of the mashed banana and stir again. Then put everything in your favorite bowl and top everything with the dates, chia seeds and walnuts. And then you’re ready to dig in!
Rise dish with Tofu and Needle Beans
- any kind of rice you like
- one onion
- some garlic
- needle beans
- sun-dried tomatoes
- tomato paste
- salt, pepper, chili powder
I’d suggest you start with cooking your rice, as this part usually takes the longest. While your rice is cooking you can start cutting the onion, the tofu and the sun-dried tomatoes. Head up a pan and put in some oil or just some water and start cooking the tofu first. Let it cook for a few minutes before adding the onion and garlic. Next add in the needle beans and the sun-dired tomatoes, you can also add in any other vegetables you like – I also like to mix in some bell pepper every now and then. When your rice is cooked add the rice to the pan and then season it with salt, pepper, some chili powder and other seasonings you like. Then put in some tomato paste and water and you’re ready to go. – I have to add that I made this dish up by myself when I was super hungry and couldn’t find anything to eat. So I basically put everything in a pan I could find and it turned out to be quite yummy. That’s also why I didn’t put any measurements in the ingredients list, I normally just decide while cooking how much I’d like. Hope you’ll enjoy this recipe.
Let me know if you redo those meals and tell me what you think! – xo
I’ve been vegan for just three weeks now, but I still wanted to share how and why I decided to make that step.
I’ve been interested in the topic for a while just thinking it was kind of interesting. I can’t remember exactly how I even found out about veganism, but after I heard some things about it I wanted to inform myself so I bought a book and found the topic getting more interesting the more I read.
I didn’t go vegan right away though. I ate “normal” for a while after that and became a vegetarian in 2014. I actually didn’t plan on eating vegan for a while, because like most people, I was like “hell, you won’t be able to eat anything at all.” Then YouTube suggested me some videos from vegans and I just watched them and informed myself. Watched some documentaries and read some articles.
And then all of a sudden I thought “hey let’s just try it out” because I have to admit I was a little bit disgusted with what I saw and read.
Still I am not judging anyone who still eats animal products, because I think it’s a choice you have to make for yourself and you have to respect what people want to do or in this case want to eat. Because it really is a big change you have to make and can be kind of hard. That’s why I think it is important to inform yourself first and decide after that if you want to go vegan.
Here are some videos I watched and the website of a vegan cook, who’s books I love:

If you would welcome a post about Tips for Vegan Beginners from me, let me know. x
Seeing this is my first post I wanted to introduce myself and just let you get to know me a little bit.
My name is Natascha and I am 21 years old. I decided to create this blog, because I wanted to share my story and because I used to love writing when I was younger and just stopped at some point in my life.
Now I am – like most girls – interested in fashion, makeup and beauty, which is why this probably will be one of the topics I am going to talk about on this blog. As well as how I struggle with finding the right things for me especially with a low budget and all of that.
I also became Vegan a few weeks ago, after being a vegetarian for over a year. Of course I also want to share that story, why I decided to go vegan, how I find new ideas for meals and if I’ll actually go through with it or turn back to vegetarian.
But basically I will “go with the flow“ and see what comes to my mind and what I want to share and write about – lot of and’s in that sentence.
Lastly I wanted to mention that English is not my mother tongue, so please excuse the errors I am going to make here and there. I choose to write in English because I feel like I can express myself better and I just love the language way better than my own.
That being said I’ll start working on my first real post and am excited to start the journey of having my own blog.
